The two companies Megaport and Cinia Group announced tie up for direct reach to top cloud service providers and to expand Cinia’s network services.
Megaport provides scalable bandwidth for public and private cloud connections, metro ethernet, and Data Centre backhaul and Internet Exchange Services.
Cinia Group Oy offers intelligent connectivity and transmission services for companies and corporations in Finland. The company focuses on providing tailored and customized network connectivity and ICT solutions for critical business environments.
Megaport CEO Vincent English says, “The core tenet of Megaport is making connectivity easy, we overcome barriers to entry for cloud adoption by making it easy to get connected directly to cloud, managed, and network service providers.”
As a part of Cinia’s cMatrix service, Megaport’s global SDN was elevated. This was a direct connection solution.
Now firms can obtain Megaport’s Ecosystem of more than 250 service providers which include Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud and Alibaba cloud via Cinia’s C-Lion 1 Submarine Cable which is the direct route from Finland to Central and West Europe.
Taneli Vuorinen, Cinia’s SVP said that it partnered with Megaport for the reason being connectivity which is crucial while accessing public cloud services together with its footprint in the Nordics.
