Japan is one of the best markets for Google Cloud. The growing customer base in the Asian country has now prompted Google Cloud to launch a new region at Osaka. The new region will help augment the growing demand in Japan. The announcement was made by Google Cloud Boss Thomas Kurian.

The Osaka region is Google Cloud’s seventh in the Asia Pacific and twentieth region in total. The newest cloud region has been made available to Google Cloud customers in the area. The users in the region are bound to enjoy lower latency and improved system availability.

Since the first Google Cloud region opened in Tokyo, the country has seen widespread adoption of the technology solutions in retail, gaming, financial services, and manufacturing. Multiple organizations have welcomed the launch of a new region. Tatsuhito Chiku, GM of Information Technology Section at Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd said: “Using Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery have enabled us to build a system with low latency and high resiliency, and the Osaka cloud region will further improve our system availability and achieve business continuity.”

Kurian concluded his blog by announcing that Google Cloud has been recognized as a Leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, Japan.
