Canada’s first Oracle data center is coming up at Toronto where the facility will host the company’s public cloud service. Enterprises in the region are bound to get a huge boost with the arrival of this data center.
Don Johnson, EVP of Product Development at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure said: “Enterprises in the region still have limited ability to run mission-critical applications in the cloud and are struggling to attain the level of performance they have on-premises without a major overhaul.” With the new location, Oracle will be able to reach out to even more customers than before providing better consistency in performance and low predictable pricing.
The company has also announced that it will be launching a data center in India soon citing that there is a high demand across various verticals in the country. India is the sixth largest country in terms of revenue for Oracle. The data center is touted to come to the vibrant city of Mumbai.
The company has big plans of adding more regions including Australia, Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Brazil, South Korea, and the U.S. to support the public sector and DoD customers by the end of this year.
