Salesforce Commerce Cloud gets an upgrade

salesforce commerce cloud upgrade

Salesforce’s Commerce Cloud has made some inspiring updates that will help it increase its overall footprint in the market. The Commerce Cloud is the brainchild of Demandware, which Salesforce acquired in 2016 for $2.8 billion.

The updates to the Commerce Cloud are mainly aimed to target the retailers that made up Demandware’s customer base. The new tools being added to the platform is bound to boost the AI-powered capabilities and further help developers in using the platform.

The Commerce Cloud is also introducing the Einstein Visual Search Engine which will let shoppers search for products using images instead of text. The information about a particular item may show up on any platform, such as a map that you are currently using, so that you can pick up the item from the store during the course of the day.

Developers too are getting some good news with the update as they now get to browse the Salesforce API library. This will enable them in making an informed decision on which API to use and will also include code snippets. Moreover, developers will now be able to create and experiment in a sandbox environment too.

Although it’s debatable whether consumers will take to shopping recommendations popping up on maps and browsers, developers are surely happy with the new additions to the Salesforce Platform.
