The latest Instax camera from Fujifilm called the Instax Mini LiPlay has a surprise in store for all of us. It comes with the ability to capture digital images and audio at the same time. You can view this on the camera’s LCD screen or you can transfer it to your phone. And just like its predecessors, the Instax Mini LiPlay captures lo-fi rectangular pictures that are developed immediately.
The attractive part of the camera is the ability to record audio. All you need to do is press the mic button that’s situated right in front of the camera. Once you press the mic button, the audio is then recorded 10 seconds before and after the shutter button is pressed. Also, you have a QR code that will be printed into the photograph. You can scan the QR code, which can be uploaded through Bluetooth to the Mimi LiPlay app.
While the whole idea of combining audio into an instant photography device is quite appealing, the Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay is surprising delivering low-quality images. Of course, it’s a very fun device to use or to gift to your younger generation. Fujifilm has priced the device at $159.95 and will be available starting this week.
