Scott Buelter, president and CEO of Ascent360, is passionate about data. He was building databases long before data became a tool for revenue generation, studying data science at universities in the U.S. and Europe and launching his career at the largest data companies in the world.

While developing complex databases for Fortune 500 businesses, Buelter discovered that unified data was the key to improving customer experiences and creating loyalty — and that combining that data with human insight was even more powerful still.

As the world became increasingly enamored with artificial intelligence, Buelter sought to humanize data, building software to help marketers understand their customers and personalize their approach to meet individual needs. In 2013, armed with a vision to bring Fortune 500-level marketing tools to businesses of all sizes — without the cost, time or complexity of a custom-built data warehouse —Ascent360 was born.

As president and CEO of Ascent360, Buelter drives strategy and vision for the company. He previously ran the Customer Relationship Management division at Leisure Trends Group, as well as Digital Marketing, Data Analysis and Data Quality at Merkle and Experian, and has fostered the growth of global brands such as Nike, Disney, Royal Caribbean, Loews Hotels, American Express and Samsung. Scott earned an MBA from the University of California at Irvine and studied at the University of San Diego; the London School of Economics; and the Institute of Education Sciences in both Berlin and Vienna.
