Mark J. Barrenechea, the Vice Chairperson, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of OpenText.
Mark J. Barrenechea is the CEO of Canada’s largest software company. Before joining OpenText, Mark was Chief Executive Officer and President of Silicon Graphics International Corporation (SGI), where he also served as a member of the Board. Mark holds a degree in Computer Science from Saint Michael’s College.
Mark has authored a number of other books including The Golden Age of Innovation, Enterprise Information Management: The Next Generation of Enterprise Software, On Digital, Digital: Disrupt or Die, e-Government or Out of Government, e-Business or out of Business and Software rules.
In January 2016, Mark became Chief Technology Officer of OpenText. Mark also served as the Vice President of Development at Scopus and Vice President of Development at Tesseract, where he was responsible for reshaping the company’s line of CRM and human capital management software.
