Let's face it, people can make or break companies. The Talent Software Management Market is one of the significant ones that fuel the growth of all the industries. This market has been growing rapidly in the past few years and is projected to continue its upward trajectory. One of the leading Talent Management Solutions companies in the last two decades has been Saba Software.
Founded in 1997, the California based company started in the Bay Area in a garage. In its early years, the company was doing some ground-breaking work in Learning Management Systems (LMS). They have been scaling and growing for over 20 years now to become the big talent management processes company it is today.
Early adopters of Cloud
In 2009, the industry needed a new platform to support rapid growth, performance, and reliability. Everyone was waking up to realize the possibilities with cloud computing in the scene. But by large, no one was willing to be amongst the first to try their hand at it. Saba was one of the pioneers who began early. They adopted a cloud platform which enabled them to help companies scale and grow their people strategy as their businesses grew.
True pioneers
They pioneered the idea of social networking by helping their customers reach out to their employees to enhance their learning experience. They did this before Facebook went Public in 2011 and exploded onto the scene, bringing social networking to the mainstream.
Saba also led the industry when it comes to leveraging the application of machine learning. They introduced machine learning in 2013 for their customers which gave them the power to make intelligent and personalized recommendations.
Acquisition of Halogen Software
In 2017, Saba acquired Halogen Software Inc., for CAD 12.50 in cash per share. The acquisition combined the capabilities of both the organizations and made Saba one of the largest independent talent management companies in the world. With its offices all around the world, Saba has over 4000 customers from various industries and 33 million users.
The company today has over 1,400 talent experts on its workforce which are living and breathing the mission of helping HR leaders across the world transform their people strategy and talent experience, while continuously delivering impact to their business.
Helping Air Canada with mobile learning platform
The biggest airline in Canada, Air Canada, serves more than 35 million passengers annually and helps them travel to five continents. The number one priority in the airline business is ensuring safety. Air Canada had over 250 safety courses that they deliver to their employees. To enable offline learning of these courses, the company deployed tablets. But they needed a platform which would enable them to deliver these courses in the easiest manner possible. Air Canada chose Saba for this, owing to their support of analytics and real-time reporting for instructors and facilitators.
The collaboration saw Saba and Air Canada deploy the software in just 40 days. Saba Cloud allowed Air Canada to create a personalized learning experience which helped them stay in line with the industry’s standards for safety. With Saba, the airline was able to deploy training for mobile offline learning to pilots which resulted in a dramatic reduction of IT support calls and gave efficiency a spike.
Driving success
With a deep performance insight, the company has been doing a great job of connecting the right people for great business success like no one has. Saba has been building strong companies by helping them onboard strong employees, leaders, and teams.
