Stratoscale: A Solution provider developing modern applications in enterprise environments

Cloud computing takes all the heavy lifting involved in crunching and processing data away from the device you carry around or sit and work at. It also moves all of that work to huge computer clusters far away in cyberspace. Cloud computing can be both public and private. Public cloud services provide their services over the Internet for a fee. Private cloud services, on the other hand, only provide services to a certain number of people. These services are a system of networks that supply hosted services. There is also a hybrid option, which combines elements of both the public and private services.

Stratoscale enables IT to operate as an internal cloud service provider, so that IT can offer single-click / on-demand consumption of resources and managed open source technologies, and respond at the speed of the public cloud.Stratoscale’s multi-cloud hybrid platform delivers true infrastructure-as-a-service, ideal for DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code automation. With single-panel monitoring and scaling of all resources and services as well as automation of the entire life cycle of open source technologies, IT can now shift focus to business specific innovation, governance and compliance. Cloud-native is not about the infrastructure, it is a state of mind. Stratoscale builds the most powerful and flexible platform for developing and delivering modern applications in enterprise environments. Stratoscale’s public cloud APIs and comprehensive suite of managed open source technologies enable developers to develop once and deploy anywhere with the same simplicity, ease-of-use and speed they love in the public cloud.

COMPUTE SERVICES

Stratoscale’s KVM-based hypervisor resides at the heart of the Stratoscale’s solution and provides unified and complete virtualization for compute, storage and networking, with no need for third-party software. The hypervisor assures enterprise-grade virtualization to build a simple-to-manage, resilient and highly-available software-defined data center.Universal computing offers the flexibility to choose how to package and deploy workloads using VMs or containers. No need for third party software. Stratoscale monitors applications and automatically adjusts allocated resources to meet evolving requirements. Stratoscale simplifies scaling operations to a minimal effort based on a simple and powerful interface for planning and defining launch configurations and scaling policies. Stratoscale ensures performance and availability while keeping resource utilization optimized to reduce costs.

STORAGE SERVICES

Stratoscale offers comprehensive block storage capabilities that are native to the hypervisor, enabling IT to reduce latency and overhead and to increase throughput. The distributed, high-performance storage service stripes all I/O across each available storage device in the rack, such as HDDs and flash devices, to assure durability in case of failure. Storage functionality can be extended to take advantage of existing storage assets that already exist in the data center. All volumes are accessible from all the servers, enabling any node in the cluster to use the hyper converged storage even on nodes that do not have local disks. Volume-centric thin snapshots and clones preserve just delta between source volume and its snapshots.

NETWORKING SERVICES

Stratoscale features a native virtual networking function that manages the shared traffic capacity for storage, VM mobility and application traffic over the physical underlay network. It provides integrated QoS and automatic bandwidth allocation, as well as networking capabilities including virtual switching, routing, NAT, security groups and other L3/4 services. To simplify virtual network deployment, Stratoscale includes automatic networking setup, automatic interfaces discovery and IP configuration.Leverage existing hardware vendors and infrastructure architectures to deliver a full virtualization platform (compute, storage, networking) combined with cloud management features such as centralized user access management, self-service portals, integrated metering for showback / chargeback, and more. Reduce service delivery times to lines of business by adopting consistent automation practices and scripting across all environments, including the public cloud and IT environments.

PLATFORM SERVICES

Stratoscale Enterprise Database Platform makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale SQL and NoSQL databases in an enterprise IT environment just like in the cloud. Stratoscale automates time-consuming administration tasks – such as infrastructure provisioning, database setup, patching, upgrades and backups – equipping IT with better governance and control. This empowers IT teams with the tools necessary to support agile application development, enabling developers with the fast performance, high availability, security and compatibility they need.Stratoscale allows you to define and customize database instance types – optimized for CPU, memory, or I/O – and provides you with multiple popular database engines to choose from, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL Server. You can use the Stratoscale Database Migration Service to easily migrate or replicate your existing databases to Stratoscale. With out-of-box integrated solutions from partners like Pure Storage and HPE, Stratoscale runs on any infrastructure platform you choose. And with support for multiple types of databases within a single platform, Stratoscale meets the requirements for a wide range of applications today while catering to future needs as they evolve. Stratoscale makes it easy to secure your databases by automating network access policies while connecting to your existing IT infrastructure. Additionally, data encryption at rest and encryption in transit is supported natively in many database engines or in conjunction with multiple storage vendors.
