We empower enterprises to defeat known and new cyber attacks: Seceon

In today’s world cybersecurity is a necessity, because along with facilities there is also a need for safeguarding our data from security threats and cyber attacks. Although there are many companies that provide cybersecurity solutions, somewhere they slip from providing solutions like security breaches which can be concealed for days, months or years.

Seceon was established with an approach to apply advanced data collection and analysis, machine learning and patent-pending predictive behavioral analytics to detect threats – both by machine and human.

In conversation with the chief of the company: Chandra Pandey, Founder and CEO

Introduce your company in a few lines.

Seceon, a pioneer in threat detection and remediation, is focused on providing comprehensive cybersecurity platform. We empower organizations of all sizes to visualize cyber threats clearly and quickly, stop threats from inflicting extensive damage through surgical containment and elimination, and to provide Compliance through continuous Monitoring, Assessment, Policy Enforcement and Reporting.

Do you think robotics and AI might be able to help defend against incoming cyber-attacks?

Computer security has become an AI hotspot. Machine Learning and AI can help safeguard against the increasing cyber threats more efficiently. It helps to automate the detection of threats and response without manual efforts and empowers the data to stay more secure than ever. Vulnerabilities also exist regarding its usage. The challenge is that it is not only the white hackers but also the hackers from the dark web exploring AI as a panacea for them as well. They have started to develop the hacks and methodologies in order to break against the cyber securities.

How do you manage to serve the needs of highly volatile IT industry?

High-Tech companies work with numerous partners, geographically-distributed development centers, and outsourced services. High-tech companies also have many employees that are very valuable to the company. Consequently, these employees have a lot of access to confidential information. Some examples of these crucial data include a variety of proprietary designs such as source code and application design files. If these files are taken, then all their ideas are now compromised.

Seceon quickly and accurately detects alerts and reacts to insider and outsider attacks attempting to steal data while not interfering with employees. Collecting data flow and events, SIEMS and endpoints, Seceon isn’t limited by data type and uses behavioral analysis to eliminate white noise and false positives. This allows even the smallest security teams to effectively defend attacker who wants to compromise confidential data. If you don’t have SIEM, data can just be pulled directly off the sources.

Seceon is able to collect data directly or from your SIEM platform using a number of connectors we have built specially. With our numerous amounts of APIs, you are able to seamlessly implement our software to your devices. The collected data is aggregated in Seceon’s Big Data platform and then analyzed by our behavioral analytics architecture. The Seceon Holistic Behavioral Detection Engine adapts and learns how your organization operates.

It is then able to detect any abnormal actions to report. Connecting events, flows, and packets of a user's machine will all play a role in whether an alert shall be sent to a security manager.

A cybersecurity company has two big responsibilities, one – to secure oneself from being attacked and two –securing other companies against attacks. First is rather tough than the later one, how do you manage both?

Seceon, provides pioneering security solutions, aiSIEMâ„¢, and aiMSSPâ„¢, for any-size Enterprises and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) respectively. These solutions proactively detect threats and eliminate/contains these threats in real-time. We eat our own dog food and use our aiSIEM solution to protect our organization from the evolving cyber threats. The result is that we are able to detect known and unknown threats and take appropriate action in real-time.

Do you have the skills required to cope with fast pace change of technology in security?

Seceon is empowering enterprises to defeat known and new cyber attacks. Seceon is laser-focused on detecting and eradicating cybersecurity threats in real-time. Our real-time threat detection is what businesses and government organizations need in a cost-effective, fully automated solution.

Detail us about any of your flagship product/service.

aiSIEM is an open system, which seamlessly leverages existing solutions like traditional SIEM and next-generation firewalls consuming their output. We take that output, combine it with data we collect through aiSIEM and provide the results to third-party compliance/audit tracking systems.

The key salient features of aiSIEM solution include:

  • Robust, large-scale data collection from the cloud and all data sources (network, endpoints, identities, etc.) in streaming platform, which scales to billions of events handling per second with context
  • Analyzes logs & data and incorporates threat intelligence feeds for correlation and enrichment
  • Enhanced data analytics beyond rules with contextual real-time alerts for “threats-that-matter” and automated response
  • Simplified licensing for comprehensive threat detection
  • Scalable architecture with support for multi-tenancy & data segregation

Why according to you is your service well-received?

Seceon’s approach is to apply advanced data collection and analysis, machine learning and patent-pending predictive behavioral analytics to detect threats – both by machine and human. We call it aiSIEM™. To do this we first collect metadata from network data flows. If it moves on the network we can see it. Next, we apply a set of advanced threat models and use machine learning algorithms to identify the threats. We apply aiSIEM and our Machine Learning Engine to sort threat behavior from normal behavior. We then correlate these behaviors to confirm the threat and determine its threat level. This approach allows our aiSIEM solution to be deployed on premises, in the cloud or in hybrid environments. Seceon’s approach is to apply advanced data collection and analysis, machine learning and patent-pending predictive behavioral analytics to detect threats – both by machine and human.

What do you think is the next big thing in security marketplace?

Adoption of Cloud and IoT will continue to rise leading to a dramatic increase in the security landscape. We see Healthcare, Financial, Government, Manufacturing, and Retail being the key industries using the IoT. One of the key concerns related to the successful adoption of the IoT is having strong security posture in place throughout the ecosystem to mitigate the increased security risks because of these connected devices to the Internet.
