For months now, we’ve speculated on a leaked video showing the potential of a new Nokia phone with five rear cameras. But here comes another video where this mobile device could be launched soon. A photo on Twitter of the rumored Nokia 9 PureView went viral along with a promotional video of the device.
Speaking about the Nokia 9 PureView, it looks similar to the Nokia 8 Sirocco. But when it comes to the rear side of the device, there’s a wild penta-lens setup capable of five simultaneous shots. It’s rumored that Nokia has significantly enhanced the efficiency in low-light settings. The camera can also re-focus the images even after they’re clicked.
Last year, HMD acquired PureView brand from Microsoft. It then joined hand with Zeiss to bring together Nokia and Zeiss with the Android platform. For the Nokia 9 PureView, HMD may also include a 5.99-inch “PureDisplay” with support for HDR10. You can also expect an in-display fingerprint reader. Speculations also suggest that the device will come with 6 GB RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
It still remains unclear when HMD will launch the gadget. But it could be right now in January, even before the 2019 Mobile World Congress next month.
