Samsung’s PlayGalaxy game streaming wasn’t available when the Galaxy Note 10 came out. But now, the PC-to-mobile game streaming app is live for the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ users in the U.S. and South Korea. Using the app, these users will be able to play PC-quality games on their handsets.
But there is catch
The Korean mobile giant has said that to make the game streaming happen users may need to have a reasonably powerful PC to begin with. A user will need a powerful GPU preferably at least NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 550, a core i5, 8GB RAM and a gigabit router. The company has also advised that it will be better if the users can connect their PC directly to the router rather than being connected via Wi-Fi.
The PlayGalaxy app is now available in beta in Samsung’s Galaxy store. For the time being, the app is supported in Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ but the company intends to extend the support to more phones soon.
Reports have suggested that users may be better off using a controller instead of the on-screen controls to play the games.
