SAP has unveiled its new suite of applications to take the fight to Salesforce in the CRM scene. The suite of applications is collectively known as C/4HANA aimed for CRM solutions. It can connect the back-office functions including supply chain and ERP systems.
C/4HANA’s portfolio includes SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud, SAP Service Cloud, SAP Customer Data Cloud (newly acquired Gigya solutions) and SAP Sales Cloud (includes the acquired CallidusCloud solutions). Also, SAP Sales Cloud combines the SAP Hybris Revenue Cloud solution and SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer. SAP Hybris Cloud comprises SAP Hybris Sales Cloud and SAP Hybris Service Cloud solutions.
C/4HANA software has machine-learning capabilities from SAP Leonardo, introduced last year, as well as a new data management suite that it introduced at its SAPPHIRE NOW conference in Orlando. C4/HANA not just aims at sales, marketing and commerce solutions; it also covers consumer data protection tools.
“Following the completed acquisitions of market leaders Hybris, Gigya and CallidusCloud, SAP now ties together solutions to support all front-office functions, such as consumer data protection, marketing, commerce, sales and customer service.” SAP stated. With the introduction of C4/HANA, SAP is now trying to narrow the gap with Salesforce, which has dominated the CRM marketplace for years.
