Salesforce is acquiring MapAnything

Salesforce has announced that it is acquiring a location-based intelligence software company MapAnything. MapAnything’s software is natively built on the Salesforce Platform.

Making the announcement, the company said that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the North Carolina based company for an undisclosed amount. Since customer experience takes over as the main differentiator for brands today, technology is also increasingly focusing on providing their customers with the best service rather than looking at the pricing. In this scenario, MapAnything’s technology empowers field sales and service employees to cater to their customers in the best way possible.

MapAnything was founded in 2009 by John Stewart and Ben Brantly. The company is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and has offices in Atlanta, London, and Sydney. They provide their service to over 2,100 customers and have more than 150 employees on their workforce.

John Stewart, CEO and Co-Founder of MapAnything wrote on the company website: “In our 9+ years in existence, we’ve been a Salesforce SI Partner, an ISV Premier Partner, and a Salesforce Ventures portfolio company. We are very excited to start the next chapter in our journey once the deal closes, this time as part of the company we so respect and admire.”
