New Zealand based- Serko has announced that it is interested in buying out a U.S. based provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), InterplX Inc. The move will help the company grow internationally, keeping in mind its global aspirations and expansions.
With InterplX Inc. onboard, Serko will be able to extend its end-to-end travel and expense offering. Based out of the U.S., the organization was founded in 1994 and is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. InterplX provides business expense management solutions including cloud-based expense reporting, expense auditing services and payment processing for many organizations.
InterplX has many Fortune 500 clients. After the acquisition, the company will continue to run as an independent entity and will be headed by Chuck Buckner. He said, “The North American market is demanding a user-friendly alternative to the legacy providers and we are pleased to join Serko to create an integrated travel and expense offering that will fill that void.”
But the InterplX team will now be reporting to Serko’s Vice President of North America, Tony D’Astolfo. Commenting on the acquisition, Serko’s CEO Darrin Grafton said: “We were deeply impressed by the quality of the technology and the high service levels and customer retention that Chuck and the team have achieved, and we look forward to further building on InterplX’s strong pedigree in the North American market.”
