AT&T and Verizon will host RED Hydrogen One

The Hydrogen One from RED is coming to telecom carriers Verizon and AT&T and can be expected this summer. However, there is still no word regarding the launch date or even the cost of the phones under the carrier labels.

Previously, the Hydrogen One phones were thrown open for preorder last year itself priced at $1,200, but was delayed until August of this year. The delay was because RED required more time to work out the carrier certification, explains Jim Jannard – the company founder. Now with support from AT&T and Verizon, Jim Jannard is delivering the promise.

Premium Mobile

RED is confident that the Hydrogen One is unique from other premium smartphones with its 5.7-inch “holographic display.” The display will use the new 4-View video to create a 3D effect display without the need for glasses. However, the actual feel of the display can be explained only after witnessing it, especially since there are many other companies who tried the 3D effect display and failed at it. The Amazon Fire Phone, for instance is a good example of the failed 3D display. Apart from the display, RED is also adding an additional expandable pin system on the back of the Hydrogen One. With this, users can set up additional hardware attachments to it.
