LA is getting Verizon 5G

Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband mobility service has now come to the city of Los Angeles. With the availability of wireless technology, users will now be able to enjoy near real-time mobile experiences at high speeds, low-latency and massive bandwidth.

The 5G Ultra Wideband from the telecom giant will allow the users to stream their favorite 4K videos with almost no buffering. Imagine video chats with almost no lag!

LA is the 19th city to get the premium 5G service from Verizon. The 5G Ultra Wideband service will available in parts of Chinatown, Del Rey, Downtown, and Venice. The 5G will be available at popular landmarks like LA Live, Staples Center, Los Angeles Convention Center, Grand Park and Venice Beach Boardwalk.

The company is going to make the coverage maps available to all by December 20, 2019.

Jessica Lall, President  & CEO of Central City Association said: “Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband is an important part of smart city growth, especially in dense, urban centers such as Downtown Los Angeles where there is a growing population of residents, workers and visitors who count on reliable connections. We are excited that Verizon chose their new service to be concentrated in parts of Downtown.”
