Residents in the Concord, Cabarrus, and Kannapolis now have a brand new IT services platform that will give them access to a waste collection calendar and reminder system. The platform will make it easier for the residents to keep in touch with the waste management services and associated programs.
"We are proud to partner with our friends in Kannapolis and Cabarrus County to make these tools available to the greater community,” Concord Mayor Bill Dusch said. “This is one more example of how we can work together to improve services.”
The waste collection system can be accessed through any device or a web browser. The residents of the respective cities can visit concordnc.gov, kannapolisnc.gov, and cabarruscounty.us to access the package of new tools that includes collection schedules, waste collection reminders and a real-time collection calendar linked to their home address. Other than this, the residents can download the mobile app CabConKan CARTology for Apple or Android devices. The app will direct you on how to best get rid of items, view a collection calendar and receive notifications.
Commenting on the new development Steve Morris, Cabarrus Board of County Commissioners Chairman said, “Giving residents direct access to real-time information is a great step forward and falls in line with our customer service goals. It's a handy resource and another example of how local partnerships make life easier for our residents.”
