Just when Google announced the revamp of the Wear OS, Fossil has announced its first smartwatch with a Snapdragon 3100 chip launched as the Sport Smartwatch. The Fossil Sport Smartwatch is specially emphasized on integrated heart rate sensor, ambient mode, and an all-day battery life with 350 mAH battery. Priced at $225, the Sport Smartwatch is available for purchase online and at Fossil retail locations.
What makes the Sport Smartwatch interesting is that it’s one of the first Wear OS smartwatches to debut with Qualcomm’s new wearable chip. The new Qualcomm wearable chip is an affirmation of longer battery life when compared with Google’s Wear OS that’s synonymous with outdated chips and low-power.
Smart comes in colors
Fossil is debuting the new IoT device in six different colors: black, pink, red, grey, green, and blue. The Sport Smartwatch comes with 28 shades silicone straps that are interchangeable and water-resistant along with variants of in 41 mm and 43 mm sizes.
The new wearable technology is equipped with NFC and GPS capabilities and Fossil says that it’s been upgraded from the previous generation of Smartwatch. Fossil has also included the new Spotify app for wearables. Noonlight, an emergency services app is also pre-installed.
