Honeywell Launches AI Solutions To Make Industrial Efficiency Better

For the energy sector, Honeywell brings AI solutions to the game, enabling workers work smarter and operators work better with technologies like the Experion Operations Assistant and partnerships with Chevron.

Honeywell has just unveiled a suite of new artificial intelligence (AI) enabled solutions designed to transform the energy sector and counter ongoing workforce challenges. Designed to leverage decades of industry expertise and cutting edge AI technologies such as Honeywell Forge, these solutions are made to help employees succeed, make healthcare operations seamless, and fast track towards Plant Environment autonomy.

The need for rapid decision making and increased productivity of the workforce is creating a need for more focused intelligence for the energy industry, and Honeywell’s AI offerings will help to fill that gap. One measure, the company has partnered with Chevron to develop new advanced AI tools dedicated towards refining operations.

The new tools include the Experion Operations Assistant, which uses explainable AI to help operators find issues in production and give detailed instructions for their resolution. Not only is this technology optimizing plant operations but also it can act as a tool to train less experienced workers throughout the plant using the in house knowledge.

Almost two-third of surveyed AI leaders believes that the most promising use of AI is to enhance each worker’s efficiency. Lucian Boldea, CEO of Honeywell, urges employees to gain strength from automation where they will be empowered.

In addition, the honey well Field Process Knowledge System (PKS) introduces an 'aid on the field' enabled by AI to help in operations and maintenance tasks. With field workers, this web based application, using a mobile device, simplifies way task of documentation and permit management.

Honeywell is now embedding AI in existing solutions like Honeywell Experion PKS and Production Intelligence and can revolutionize the way they produce, ensuring a more efficient and capable workforce.
