With impressive growth and new features, Meta AI is making waves globally, and India leads the charge.
In a recent Q2 earnings call, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta's Founder and CEO, revealed that India has become the largest market for Meta AI. The news comes as Meta AI gains significant traction, particularly through WhatsApp, with increased user retention and engagement in the region.
Meta AI, now accessible in Hindi and other major languages, has expanded its reach to include French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. This move allows users to interact with the AI assistant across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook in their preferred languages. The company is also planning to add more languages soon.
Meta’s financial performance for Q2 was impressive, with revenue hitting $39.1 billion, a 22 percent increase year-over-year. Zuckerberg highlighted that Meta AI is now available in over 20 countries and eight languages. In the U.S., new features like Imagine Edit, which allows users to edit images created with Meta AI, are being rolled out.
Zuckerberg is optimistic about Meta AI’s future, predicting it will become the most used AI assistant by the end of the year. He also emphasized the company’s broader vision: not just creating a single AI, but enabling users to develop their own AIs. This week, Meta launched AI Studio, a platform that lets anyone create personalized AIs to interact with across Meta’s apps.
