NVIDIA Teams Up With Microsoft to Build Enormous Cloud AI Computer

Microsoft and NVIDIA built supercomputers to deliver world-class AI capabilities for every enterprise on Microsoft Azure.

NVIDIA in a recent press meet has announced that it will be teaming up with Microsoft to build the most anticipated and robust AI supercomputers in the world. These massive supercomputers will be powered by Microsoft Azure's advanced supercomputing infrastructure, combined with NVIDIA's advanced GPUs, and AI networking software to help organizations train and scale AI.

Microsoft Azure's cloud-based AI supercomputer will have powerful, dynamic, and scalable ND- and NC- series virtual machines to optimize the AI inference.

This will be the first-ever public cloud to incorporate NVIDIA’s advanced AI stack like NVIDIA Quantum-2 400 GB/s InfiniBand networking and the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite to its platform. NVIDIA will also utilize Azure’s scalable virtual machine to research and develop new concepts of generative AI, which is a rapidly emerging area of AI.

It is also reported that both companies will collaborate to optimize Microsoft’s DeepSpeed, one of the leading deep learning optimization software. NVIDIA’s full stack of AI workflows and software development kits will be made available to Azure enterprise customers. Microsoft's collaboration with NVIDIA will open doors to the world’s most scalable supercomputer platform to deliver world-class AI capabilities for every enterprise on Microsoft Azure.
