Misleading Post Caused 5ireChain Backlash

After falsely claiming to work with Binance's CZ on a blockchain scheme, 5ireChain came under fire for their actions. However, Zhao clarified it was just a selfie and asked people not to misuse it for promotion.

Recently, the Indian blockchain firm 5ireChain made headlines for the reason that it caused a stir with Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) by sharing, on its social media, a photo of him Besides the CEO Pratik Gauri. The photo was posted on their now-deleted social media with the caption, "What s Cooking?" and appended with a handshake emoji. The photo showed the two men smiling at an event, suggesting that the two were considering a potential collaboration.

Zhao wasted no time in replying to the rumor. He made it clear that the image was just a coincidental meeting, with no conversation or collaboration happening. "Nothing is cooking," Zhao wrote in his reply, saying the selfie should not be used for publicity purposes.

5ireChain, however, pulled down the post and issued a clarification that the post was meant to appreciate contributions by Zhao in the blockchain and crypto industry rather than give an impression of a partnership. Zhao later cautioned about using selfies like this for promotional gain without explicit permission and warned the public to be wary of such projects that were found to misuse images.
