Ziehl-Abegg named Marco Altherr to lead their growth and expansion efforts as the new CFO for the company with financial control along with IT and HR management.
Ziehl-Abegg has named Marco Altherr to become its next Chief Financial Officer starting from May 2025. The financial expert Altherr will help Ziehl-Abegg maintain its current expansion trajectory through his years of experience working as a leader in industrial companies.
Chairman Dennis Ziehl commended Altherr’s specialized expertise which he believes will prove essential for leading important expansion initiatives. Altherr brings his experience from managing international industrial businesses to provide substantial support for Ziehl-Abegg's future growth.
The 1974-born Altherr received his business administration degree while establishing a long financial management career. Marcus Altherr arrived at Ziehl-Abegg from Freudenberg Group after his role as CFO of Freudenberg Performance Materials. His work experience at Manroland and his time at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen provide him with a strong background.
The innovation leader Ziehl-Abegg strengthens its worldwide expansion by building new facilities worldwide with their largest project located in the United States. The newly appointed Altherr will activate both traditional CFO responsibilities in addition to IT and HR tasks to serve on the executive team with Joachim Ley and Wolfgang Mayer.
The company Ziehl-Abegg projects further sustainable growth through its €955 million turnover along with its presence across 100 countries.
