ChatGPT suffered a worldwide service outage that affected both free and paid customer access to 1,400 users simultaneously. Social media became the users' preferred method for checking the ongoing situation during the system outage.
ChatGPT from OpenAI suffered from a major global interruption that began during 10:00 AM time yesterday. Downdetector tracked over 1,400 reports of service problems where users encountered stops on the application by 90% of users and website interruptions by 8% of users while 2% had trouble logging into the system.
The outage ran its course while users employed X (formerly Twitter) to validate the situation. Users love Twitter because they believe they are unique until they discover Twitter members think the same thing at exactly the same moment. The service outage of ChatGPT can be verified at this time. The practice of monitoring service problems using social media platforms has become widespread among users.
The extensive disruption of service has not received any official information or statement from OpenAI about the cause. Free and paid subscribers of the AI chatbot have encountered various problems according to user reports. Two different problems emerged for users either as error pop-ups or total failure to display responses.
The short interruption of AI chatbots including ChatGPT which millions rely on for their work and studies and casual discussions caused major disturbances. This outage functions as evidence that these digital platforms have turned into essential components of everyday life for millions of people across the globe.
