Innovative Startup Selected for Groundbreaking Program Focused on Circular Economy and Decarbonization
Tyromer Inc. has been chosen as one of only 21 startups to participate in the prestigious Amazon Web Services (AWS) Clean Energy Accelerator 4.0. Out of more than 800 candidates from 74 countries, Tyromer has earned a spot in this high-impact, non-equity accelerator designed to drive innovation in clean energy and climate technology. The program, which focuses on generative AI and circular economy solutions, offers funding without diluting ownership.
The AWS Clean Energy Accelerator 4.0 aims to support startups and mature companies in accelerating their contributions to net zero targets and developing sustainable solutions to address the world’s energy and resource challenges. Howard Gefen, General Manager of Energy and Utilities at AWS, expressed enthusiasm about Tyromer's inclusion: “We’re thrilled to welcome Tyromer to the Clean Energy Accelerator 4.0. Their focus on generative AI and grid modernization aligns perfectly with our mission to drive energy transitions and achieve our net zero goals.”
Tyromer is particularly excited about collaborating with Amazon Operations Sustainability to pilot its Tyre-to-Tyre vision, which involves using Tyre-Derived Polymer (TDP) made from end-of-life tyres. This initiative is aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and establishing a local supply chain for TDP production, ensuring economic benefits and job creation remain close to home.
The AWS Clean Energy Accelerator 4.0, which began in March 2024 following its announcement at COP28, will feature immersion sprints, workshops, and events throughout the year. These activities will highlight advancements in clean energy technology, showcase pilot progress, and foster new use cases in front of industry leaders, experts, and investors.
