IBM, EY to jointly work on digital transformation of clients

IBM and EY have announced that they will be forming a multi-year alliance to help their clients speed up their digital transformation journey. They will be working together to help lift organizations by leveraging IBM Watson, IBM Blockchain, IBM’s 5G and edge technologies, as well as Red Hat OpenShift.

“Combining EY teams' breadth of industry and regulatory knowledge, technology capabilities and longstanding strategy and business consulting leadership, with IBM's powerful technology and Red Hat OpenShift's open hybrid cloud portfolio, will play a key role in accelerating our clients' journeys to the cloud,” says Arvind Krishna, IBM CEO.

Both the companies will also provide joint consulting and system integration capabilities for their clients through this alliance. EY’s leading consulting and market leading strategy combined with IBM’s technologies is sure to bolster the capabilities of their clients. The alliance will be supporting many areas including HR, legal, tax, risk and compliance, M&A, supply chain and asset management.

EY has been working on growing its portfolio of offerings and this collaboration with IBM is key to this strategy. The move will help the firm diversify and to become more connected too. The collaboration with IBM will also enhance the EY developer ecosystem and will give it access to IBM’s leading tech to deliver better results for its clients.

“The EY-IBM Alliance is built on providing differentiating and transformational business value for clients. As organizations learn how to adapt to today's new normal, leveraging the cloud, AI, analytics and other technologies have become increasingly important,” says Carmine Di Sibio, EY Global Chairman and CEO.
