Microsoft has announced new features for Microsoft Teams this July. As a platform, Teams has been used for work, school and life all alike. Earlier this month, Microsoft launched new ways to reimagine virtual meetings to make them more engaging.
Now, with the newest features, you can build apps and chatbots and visualize data without ever having to leave Teams. With the brand new changes, the apps, bots, and flows now built using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agent can access data that is with Microsoft Dataflex.
The new Power BI app for Teams will additionally now provide a streamlined experience to access Power BI reports in Teams. This will make collaboration with data simpler. The app will now also provide new ways to connect insights to actions with sample reports, automation, and easy sharing experiences.
Another new feature enhances meeting experiences with third-party apps and services. This will help developers and independent software vendors to integrate their apps and services with Teams meetings. This will give users more avenues to host collaborative and interactive meetings. Microsoft in its blog wrote: “Partners will be able to bring their apps directly within the Teams meeting experience. For example, a third-party Agenda app could add a tab with an agenda in the pre-meeting window, a button to open agenda items on the meeting control bar, or a summary file or other type of object in the post-meeting chat window.”
