Amazon has made two announcements even before kick-starting the company’s AWS annual conference. Firstly, AWS is opening ML Solutions Lab which is a lab dedicated to machine learning. Also, the company will be releasing additional features within Amazon Rekognition.
The ML Solutions Lab will work to pair up with Amazon machine learning experts who are looking to build solutions using Artificial Intelligence technology. The lab is designed to help businesses solve their problems while using the latest systems that are tailored to tackle particular problems.
Swami Sivasubramanian, vice president of Amazon AI said in a statement, “We can’t wait for developers to start their journeys into machine learning with the Amazon ML Solutions Lab. By combining the expertise of the best machine learning scientists and practitioners at Amazon with the deep business knowledge of our customers, the Amazon ML Solutions Lab will help customers get up to speed on machine learning quickly, and start putting machine learning to work inside their organizations.”
The newly added features to Amazon Rekognition clearly prove that the company is headed off to make major advancements in computer vision. The features also showcase Amazon’s way of turning them into products for external customers.
