Palo Alto Networks rolls out Prisma cloud security suite

Cloud security is very important in technology today. Working on this, Palo Alto Networks has launched a new cloud security suite called Prisma. The company believes that the suite will help its customers “by securing access, protecting data, and securing applications.”

The new cloud security suite has four key components namely: Prisma Access, Prisma Public Cloud, Prisma SaaS, and VM-Series.

Beginning with Prisma Access, the users will be able to securely access the cloud from anywhere in the world. The company says that Prisma Access is expected to be up and running on Google Cloud Platform which will enable the company to extend its service to more than 100 locations.

Prisma Public Cloud will help users get an insight into their public multi-cloud deployments. It is powered by machine learning and will enable customers to detect vulnerabilities and help developers reduce risk. Prisma SaaS is what the company calls “multi-mode cloud access security broker (CASB)”. This will enable SaaS application adoption. Further, it will improve administration experience across IT-sanctioned and IT-unsanctioned SaaS applications.

In other news, the company is about to make two key acquisitions. Palo Alto Networks is keen on buying the container security startup Twistlock and also a serverless security startup PureSec.
