Salesforce is all set to acquire CloudCraze, which is an enterprise e-commerce solution that is cloud-based and works on customer relationship management platform. CloudCraze made an announcement on its website that it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Salesforce.
Salesforce went on an acquisition spree back in 2016, where it bought more than twelve companies. And all of last year, the company didn’t venture into any acquisitions. Now, within the third month of this year, Salesforce has already on its way to the second acquisition. Salesforce had acquired Attic Labs in January.
On the other hand, Ray Grady, President and Chief Customer Officer of CloudCraze wrote in an announcement, “With the addition of CloudCraze to the Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce and its customers can now take advantage of this shift to digital commerce, enabling business buyers to browse and purchase online as easily as consumers shop today.”
From the looks of it, Salesforce may again start out its acquisition spree for this year as well. It has also set some very ambitious revenue goals. It looks like it’s on its way to purchase some high-growth startups for its goal.
