Teridion's WAN service is integrating with Cisco Meraki's technology

Teridion has announced that their cloud-based WAN service will now have deep integrations with Cisco Meraki’s MX line of security and SD-WAN appliances. The effort will link the Cisco Meraki Security/ SD-WAN appliances and Auto VPN technology with Teridion’s WAN service.

Through this integration, Teridion will be able to offer better performance and control over traffic running from remote locations through the internet. Further, Teridion’s curated routing will combine the WAN acceleration techniques with route optimization to speed up the traffic. With Cisco Meraki’s Security/ SD-WAN appliances onboard, Teridion’s WAN service will be able to give its TCP-based applications like file transfers, backups and page loads a push. These could expect an acceleration of up to three to five times with the integration.

Teridion also has agreements with Silver Peak, VMware (VeloCloud) and Citrix for the SD-WAN apart from Cisco Meraki. Further, the company has cloud partnerships with the likes of Google, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. In a statement Raviv Levi, director of product management at Cisco Meraki: “The combined Cisco Meraki and Teridion offering brings SD-WAN and security capabilities at the WAN edge that are tightly integrated with a WAN service delivered over cost-effective broadband or dedicated Internet access.”
