Cisco announces of launching a cybersecurity tool for small and medium-sized enterprises

Cisco, an IT and networking company introduced their cybersecurity assessment tool especially for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), hybrid work environment is evolving there might be cyber risks.

The company quoted, “This has expanded the attack surface and increased cybersecurity risks beyond the perimeters that companies have traditionally built to protect the business.” The tool measures the cybersecurity preparedness of any business via ‘Zero Trust concept’.

The access of the tool is within the organization’s premise until the trust is gained. “When a user accesses an application using a device, both the user and device are verified, with that trust continuously monitored. This helps secure the organization’s applications and environments from any user, device, and location,” the company mentioned in a statement. 

The launch happened as SMBs are more aware of the importance of cybersecurity risks and the solutions that can deal to make it right. Cisco said that lack of solutions is making it hard to get rid of the attacks. SMBs are easy to attack which can lead to loss of revenue which in turn will reflect company’s reputation.
