Here comes PhoneWagon that can effectively track those phone calls that came from marketing campaigns. The company has just raised $1.2 million in a seed funding. The funding was led by Birchmere Ventures with a strong participation from Active Capital.
Although there are other existing call tracking services like CallRail, the CEO of PhoneWagon Ryan Shank believes that they are quite out of reach for small businesses. This is because they are over-priced and have a difficulty in setting up, Shank argued. With PhoneWagon, the process is ‘easy-to-use, beautiful, and simple’ explained Shank.
The process to setup is indeed simple. Businesses simply need to install a few lines of JavaScript on their website. When any customer visits the site (because of the marketing campaign, of course), the customer is presented with a dynamically generated phone number.
This comes especially handy for those businesses who receive a lot of phone calls. The dynamic numbers help in breaking down the traffic sources, keywords, and the campaign itself. Apart from the dynamic phone numbers, PhoneWagon also integrates with Google AdWords and other such platforms. It is also capable of showing local and toll-free phone numbers from each visitor.
