IIT Ropar Partners with Excelsoft Technologies to Launch AI-Focused Edtech Research Lab

New lab to transform education with AI, advancing teaching methods and learning technologies.

As a team, Excelsoft Technologies and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar have founded the "Prof. Dhananjaya Lab for Education Design and Creative Learning." This new lab, named after the late Prof. M.H. Dhananjaya, Chairman of Excelsoft, will utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to promote innovation in educational technology.

The partnership will create unique AI models with the goal of improving learning and tools for evaluation. The lab, co-led by Dr. Sudarshan Iyengar from IIT Ropar and Mr. D. Sudhanva of Excelsoft, will engage in advanced research to create robust, scalable Edtech solutions. It will also explore new ideas and technologies to improve education and learning systems globally.

Prof. Iyengar highlighted the lab's potential to offer students hands-on experience with cutting-edge Edtech products, while Adarsh Sudhindra from Excelsoft emphasized the partnership’s role in bridging industry and academic research. Mr. Sudhanva expressed pride in collaborating with IIT Ropar to elevate India’s position in the global Edtech landscape.
