Flooding and landslides have left Central America with devastating aftermaths of casualties and evacuations.

At least thirty people have died because of severe weather in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, and the region's is still being caused by heavy rains. Each nation's authorities have announced major resident displacement and casualties.

Storm-related deaths in El Salvador currently reported 19 deaths, including the terrible deaths of two children in a landslide in the Soyapango neighborhood close to the capital, San Salvador. In order to protect themselves, more than 2,500 people had to be taken from their houses and placed in shelters.

Ten deaths in Guatemala have been linked to the rains, which have also had serious implications there. Numerous homes, roads, and schools have been blocked, forcing more than 350 people to seek refuge in shelters.

The heavy rains have caused significant damage to the Northern Triangle region's infrastructure and forced thousands of citizens to move. Although forecasts indicate that the rain will not stop, authorities are still working on rescue and relief operations.

The sad incidents showcase how these countries in Central America are more at risk of natural disasters that are made worse by climate change.
