Qatar Airways has announced its official partnership with United for Wildlife, an organization that aims to fight against illegal wildlife trade and protect animals.

This week, Qatar Airways declared its dedication to serving as the Official Airline Partner of United for Wildlife (UfW), an organization established in 2014 that aims to combat the illegal wildlife trade and safeguard endangered species by Prince William and The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales.

This esteemed collaboration highlights Qatar Airways' steadfast dedication to protecting wildlife. In order to combat the illegal wildlife trade and further the efforts of the United for Wildlife Regional Chapters, Qatar Airways and United for Wildlife will jointly launch campaigns.

In 2020, Qatar Airways Cargo initiated its corporate sustainability program, WeQare: Rewild the Planet. As part of the program, Qatar Airways Cargo offers groups that assist in reintroducing wild animals to their native environment complimentary transportation services in an effort to promote the maintenance of ecological balance. One significant accomplishment of this project was the successful 2021 relocation of seven lions from Ukraine. This demonstrated Qatar Airways' dedication to supporting NGOs and conservation organizations in their vital work to rewild the planet.

The Qatar Airways Group has mandated that its staff complete the lawful Wildlife Trade Awareness training and maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding the transportation of illegal wildlife and items. The airline is encouraging other businesses and individuals to join them in their commitment to protecting the planet's priceless biodiversity by participating in the United for Wildlife Global Summit in Singapore.
