Nvidia announced a new GPU in the RTX 40 series, the RTX 4070 Ti, as part of its GeForce Beyond stream at CES 2023.
The RTX 4070 Ti is Nvidia's next-generation graphics card, and it is designed to succeed the RTX 3090 Ti in terms of both performance and support for DLSS 3. It makes use of the company's new Ada Lovelace architecture. Nvidia asserts that the RTX 4070 Ti will deliver performance that is up to three times superior to that of the RTX 3090 Ti, which was the previous flagship product in the RTX 30 series.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is the fourth card in the RTX 40 series to be announced, following the RTX 4090 and two variants of the RTX 4080 with 16GB and 12GB of memory, respectively.
In this case, Nvidia would "unlaunch" the GPU before its November 16 release date. The RTX 40 series has also gotten a lot of attention, as the current flagship GPU, the RTX 4090, has melted for some users due to a squabbling connector cable.
The RTX 4070 Ti will be sold in stores for $799. The RTX 4070 Ti is scheduled to be made available for purchase by Nvidia on January 5.
