Nvidia is replacing GeForce Experience with a new app, enhancing speed, controls, AV1 recording, and removing mandatory account sign-up.
This marks the end of support for the legacy GeForce Experience client with the latest driver release, Nvidia's Version 566.36. At the moment, the company points everyone to their newly renovated Nvidia app, the interface that has all GPU-related functions it built for the past half year since early 2024 before going out of beta on November 12.
Launch games; update drivers; tweak graphics settings-redeem rewards-all from one application, from Nvidia. It pulls together some of Nvidia's diverse services like GeForce Now and Nvidia Broadcast. Some more advanced options, however, such as Nvidia Surround, are only available through the Nvidia Control Panel, so don't get rid of it just yet.
Like Alt + Z, this updated app also features a sleeker overlay replacing the previous options menu and rendering it into a much smarter sidebar. Fast access to tools such as Record, Screenshot, Instant Replay, and others, make it highly convenient. The app also presents functionality to record super-high-quality 120 FPS screens using AV1; it is meant for gamers to record their in-game moments in the smoothest and most detailed covered way possible.
The Nvidia app may remind you of the old GeForce Experience, but it's faster and more user-friendly and does away with having to sign-up for an account with Nvidia. A boon to privacy-concerned gamers who would rather engage in systems management and automatic updates without requiring an Nvidia account, this new gadget is a big leap forward for Nvidia in its desire for a more integrated, user-efficient experience.
