Motive tweeted revealing that it was collaborating with Marvel Games on an all-new single-player, action-adventure Iron Man game. The project is said to currently be in early development.
The tweet highlights that the Iron Man project will be a single-player action-adventure game, the genre where Marvel has recently excelled in AAA games. Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man are firm favorites among MCU and comic fans when compared to the multiplayer-focused Avengers.
In a press release, Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games’ VP and creative director said they were thrilled to collaborate with Motive Studio’s talented team to bring the studio’s vision of one of Marvel’s most important, powerful, and beloved characters to life in video games.
The game will feature an original narrative taping into the rich history of Iron Man, channeling the complexity, creative genius, and charisma of Tony Stark, and enabling players to truly feel like Iron Man.
EA Motive’s previous game releases include 2017’s Star Wars Battlefront II and 2020’s Star Wars Squadrons. The team is also currently working on the Dead Space remake, which is slated for release on January 27, 2023.
The new Iron Man game will be Iron Man’s first non-VR solo video game since Iron Man 2 in 2010.
