An average computer user may not be worried about the tech behind their keys, but for a gamer, it’s the real deal. Razer, the famous gaming hardware manufacturing company, has released the fastest ever gaming board at $149 – the Razer Huntsman. The new gaming keyboard allows users to program macros for easy use, react with lightning-fast speed, and quickly input multiple successive commands without bugging out.
Huntsman owes its speed and lightness to its Razer Opto-Mechanical Switches which are built with optical light sensor technology – this means the actuation happens via light signals and not mechanical clicks. And hence, as a result, the actuation speed is 30% shorter than the mechanical clicking mechanisms.
The Razer’s Stabilizer Bar is another attraction in the new-build. This innovation means, that the gamer needs to apply the exact same amount of force (45g to be precise) to actuate every single key on the keyboard. This, which may not be of greater benefit to normal users, contributes to a smooth and pleasant gaming experience. And as add-ons are the 10 key roll-over anti-ghosting, programmable keys with on-the-fly macro reading features that enhance the look and ease while operating it.
The Razer Huntsman is built to last for about 100 million keystrokes, which pretty much lasts for double the lifetime of a normal keyboard with mechanical clicks. Razer’s Huntsman is sure to beat the rest of the contender's hands down and is anticipated to win the title for the best gaming keyboard ever made.
