Companies are forced to adapt the trending utility and to use and enhance integration with technology along with IoTdue to the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic has drastically changed the way people use stuffs, they are judiciously using water, electricity and natural gas which is disturbing utility delivery systems.

In order to maintain the health of customers, employees and their families, utilities have to face many problems. According to an S&P Global Ratings report titled North American Regulated Utilities Face Additional Risks Amid Coronavirus Outbreak, utilities faced minimal demand and revenue as sporting events, concert venues and businesses scale back operations.

"COVID-19 may change where we ultimately work, heal and live, and electrical loads may shift as manufacturing plants move, but the electrical systems themselves shouldn't be permanently affected," Cooke said.
