IBM aims for a secure IoT ecosystem with new testing services

Folks submerged in the world of IoT, there is some good news for you guys on the security front (finally). The number of IoT devices is increasing at the same rate its security risks are increasing, and IBM wants to help. IBM has announced that it is stepping in to help see how secure the IoT world is and for that very purpose, it is releasing a new security services testing for Internet of Things (IoT) developers.

The new service, which will also be available for automotives which work like IoT devices, will help test the security of connected devices throughout development and deployment. This will come in steps, starting with IBM’s Watson IoT Platform is offering its customers services from IBM X-Force Red, its one year-old security testing group.

Although Watson’s cognitive prowess is undeniably good, analysts are wondering whether it will pay off before other tech companies catch up in terms of their cognitive offerings. With this service IBM is continuing to prove that it's the best partner for enterprises that want to develop smart connected devices.
