Simetric and AT&T are partnering to bring enterprises a unified IoT management dashboard that facilitates connectivity between multiple operators and global network.
AT&T and Simetric, an IoT platform provider, have partnered in order to provide businesses with a consolidated view of IoT endpoints across operators. The purpose of this partnership is to make it easier to keep track of connected IoT devices that are attached to various network providers, a task that is usually complicated.
Simetric's newly developed application streamlines IoT device management by interconnecting over 250 global operators' connectivity management platforms. It provides a single, accessible view over the Internet, eliminating the inefficiencies of using multiple platforms for operators.
The framework which comprises over 1000 APIs and covers IoT business including countries or status of SIM card for either active or not active based technologies. This ensures that even when dealing with different operators, an organization is still able to provide the customer with 4G or 5G service as offered by AT&T using Simetric platform.
According to Mike Van Horn, assistant vice president of AT&T Connected Solutions, this technology has been implemented within AT&T for some time but is now ready for client usage. “They are trying to find the capacities to characterize their claim rules and rates, how they control costs related with their IoT usage,” he expressed.
The respondents’ views help strengthen AT&T’S ability to meet the demand for international operations. For instance, as companies enter countries such as Brazil, they can utilize remote SIM provisioning, but they will still be doing it with local partners using Simetric.
This combination presents an opportunity for easing the management of the IoT, making it more effective and versatile for the organizations.
