Accenture has announced that it is acquiring the Chicago-based data consultancy, Clarity Insights. The latter is a data consultancy with deep expertise in deep data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
The acquisition by Accenture is an interesting one and will help its clients derive important value from their data. The acquisition will add around 350 employees and a strong portfolio of accelerators. Clarity Insights will be a valuable addition to Accenture Applied Intelligence which employs over 20,000 professionals. It has also received several recognitions from leading industry analyst firms this year.
Athina Kanioura, Chief Analytics Officer and global lead of Applied Intelligence at Accenture commenting on the Clarity Insights acquisition said, “Their focus on insight-driven transformation for healthcare bolsters Accenture’s capabilities and is particularly critical now, when our research shows that 87% of healthcare executives surveyed report that they know how to pilot, but struggle to scale AI across their business.”
In response, Neil Huse, president and CEO of Clarity Insights said that the company was drawn to Accenture due to “the synergies” in how both companies approach clients.
Neither of the companies chose to reveal the financial details of the acquisition. The acquisition is subject to closing conditions and an anti-trust probe.
