Gucci's Soho store in New York is redesigned

The 2018 Soho store, a symbol of energy and gritty New York, has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment to showcase Gucci's exquisite craftsmanship and extravagance.

The doors to Gucci's recently renovated boutique at 63 Wooster opened on Friday. The Soho store, which debuted in 2018, has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment that captures the energy and gritty character of downtown New York as well as the exquisite workmanship and extravagance that distinguish Gucci.

The 155-year-old industrial building that houses Gucci Wooster has its original brickwork, tin ceiling, and iron accents mixed with contemporary features like cement floors and glass paneling. The ground floor of the boutique features an assortment of items designed by renowned Italian furniture designers, such as Cassina, B&B, and Minotti — a holy trinity that complements Gucci Creative Director Sabato De Sarno's modern tastes.

Additionally, the area will showcase a selection of pieces selected by art consultant Truls Blaasmo, who also provided guidance for Gucci's London Bond Street store. Soho's creative cacophony is reflected in a melange of eras and mediums where pieces by rising artists like Autumn Knight and Sasha Stiles coexist with light sculptures by Larry Bell and pieces by Alighiero Boetti.

Gucci offers everything in-store, including its Valigeria travel lines, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and men's and women's ready-to-wear collections. Gucci Wooster will also be showcasing the Women's Spring/Summer 24 line, which includes highly sought-after limited-edition items like the Jackie Notte purse in an acid green shade, to commemorate the grand reopening.
