The athletic apparel giant, Nike filed a lawsuit against the Canadian sportswear company, Lululemon on Monday, claiming that its Blissfeel, Chargfeel Low, Chargfeel Mid, and Strongfeel sneakers violate patents covering textiles and other design aspects of its footwear.
A Lululemon spokeswoman said that the claims of Nike are baseless, and they will be looking forward to establishing their case in court. With the release of its women's Blissfeel running sneakers in March 2022, Lululemon made its footwear debut.
This is not the first time that Nike has sued Lululemon in court. In January of last year, Nike filed a lawsuit against the Vancouver-based company for alleged patent infringements using its rival's Mirror Home Gym device and associated smartphone apps.
According to court documents, Nike also filed a lawsuit against Bape, commonly known as A Bathing Ape, last week, alleging that the Japanese streetwear company had developed "near verbatim reproductions" of its Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1, and Dunk sneaker designs.
