Meet the Valiant Leader

Dr. Jeffrey Graves is President and CEO of 3D Systems, and a member of the Board. He joined the company in May 2020.

Prior to joining 3D Systems, from 2012 to May 2020, Dr. Graves served as CEO, President and Director of MTS Systems Corporation, a global supplier of test, simulation, and measurement systems. From 2005 to 2012, he served as President, CEO and Director of C&D Technologies, Inc., an energy storage company. He also held several leadership roles with Kemet Corporation including Chief Operating Officer (2001-2003) and President, CEO and Director (2003-2005). Dr. Graves began his career at Rockwell International, and later held positions of increasing responsibility at General Electric Company.

In addition to his extensive tenure as a public company CEO, Dr. Graves has over 30 years of experience as an independent Board of Directors Member with Teleflex Corporation (2007-2017), Hexcel Corporation (2007-2024), and Integra Life Sciences Corporation (2023-present).

Dr. Graves holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Purdue University, as well as a master’s degree and PhD in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He has been recognized with the Distinguished Alumni Award from both universities. Dr. Graves is also a master black belt in six sigma.
