Aptum Cloud Impact Study
Cloud remains a top priority for many businesses but the information out there is inapt when it comes to understanding and identifying common drivers and obstacles that impacts organizations undergoing cloud transformation. Aptum took it upon itself to investigate into the matter with its comprehensive Cloud Impact Study called Bridging the Cloud Transformation Gap.
Early in September, Aptum released part one of four-part study on cloud. The initial part of the study focused on “overall planning and migration efforts.” The survey respondents said that the main drivers behind cloud adoption are:
The data collected suggests that among the respondents 71% have experienced negative effects due to the rate of cloud transformation. And 33% of them say that IT expenditures are the leading cause. While as many as 69% of organizations seem to think that they need expertise and help to take forward cloud deployments. And among the participants 41% found themselves to be on par or lagging to their competitors in terms of cloud services.
“Cloud is critical to long-term sustainability, with the rewards and business drivers becoming increasingly apparent,” states Craig Tavares, Global Head of Cloud at Aptum. “The results demonstrate businesses understand this, yet the barriers are impeding businesses from reaching their goals. Enterprises can reap the full benefits of cloud technologies by partnering with cloud service providers who can remove the additional hassle while also allowing business leaders to focus on what they do best.”
Launched Managed DevOps Service Powered by CloudOps
In May 2020, as businesses were taking blows due to COVID-19 slowdown, Aptum launched its Managed DevOps Service in partnership with CloudOps. The newly released service allows customers to leverage the cloud-based DevOps platform to automate their development pipelines and reduce application delivery times.
Through the launch of the service, the Toronto company provides hands-on training on DevOps practices and tools to the customers. This helps customers acquire a highly-valued skillsets of DevOps and Kubernetes. This means that the teams can focus on developing instead of getting distracted by the idea of navigating the complex world of DevOps ecosystem alone.
