An IoT solutions innovator providing enterprise-grade implementations to Fortune 500 companies: Mesh Systems

IoT is growing fast. According to a Microsoft Signals report, the industry is expected to be a $500 billion industry by 2023. The key to this growth will be companies that specialize in IoT implementation. One of the leaders in the IoT space is Mesh Systems, headquartered in Carmel, Indiana. In the company's history, it's connected a range of 'things' including espresso machines, beer tap handles, outdoor light fixtures, retail point of sale scanners, and industrial machinery. It has been a true pioneer of IoT.

The world is surrounded by Internet-connected devices in the form of tablets, smartphones, and laptops, but IoT is about connecting the plethora of other things to the internet, and that is where Mesh Systems has been helping enterprise companies since its inception over 15 years ago. Founded in 2005, Mesh Systems is a premier IoT implementation pioneer that helps enterprises achieve digital transformation by providing Internet of Things (IoT) software, services, and solutions. The company's deep engineering competency, combined with its employee's passion for being the best IoT Solutions Innovator in the world, makes them the ideal partner to drive business outcomes with the Internet of Things (IoT).

Mesh Systems strives to deliver compelling solutions to excellent customers by bringing together exceptional talent, shared passion, innovative technology, and a workplace culture that celebrates both individual contribution and team success. The company treats its fellow colleagues, customers, business partners, suppliers, and all those in the communities in which they work with respect, fairness, and integrity.

The company is an Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions Innovator providing enterprise-grade implementations to Fortune 500 companies. Its engineers have deep expertise across IoT hardware design, embedded software development, wireless systems, and cloud-based business applications. With 15 years of experience delivering real solutions to real customers, Mesh Systems is the ideal partner to develop new connected products, scale proof-of-concept to commercial volumes, or complement and enable internal teams.

IoT for Your Supply Chain

An end-to-end tracking platform, Mesh Systems' Supply Chain Asset Tracking solution helps organizations with large shipping operations track, monitor, and recover shipping assets such as pallets, totes, containers, bins, and racks. The investment in these assets can be substantial, and losing track of them or having to routinely replace them because of shrinkage can be costly. The Mesh Systems platform offers end-to-end tracking of returnable shipping assets to optimize their use across supply chains and expedite their rapid return and reuse. The platform has been proven to improve the return rate of assets, hastens the identification of misplaced, switched, or stolen assets, and can be used to verify the quality and condition of contents.

Helping Create the Internet of Specialty Chemicals

Evonik Industries AG is a German specialty chemicals company headquartered in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the second-largest chemicals company in Germany and one of the largest specialty chemicals companies in the world. But some time back, Evonik wanted to provide shipment visibility service to its customers. They also wanted to assure customers that their shipments would arrive within the necessary environmental conditions needed for manufacturing processes without using GPS tracking. IoT was perhaps the only way this could be done.

Mesh Systems leveraged its expertise with IoT implementation. The company developed a solution that used Bluetooth Low Energy sensors and mobile apps. Mesh designed and built a custom Bluetooth Low Energy temperature and humidity sensor that could be easily attached to totes and pallets of Evonik's products. Through collaboration with Evonik, Mesh ensured that Evonik's third-party logistics providers' each driver carried a smartphone with an Evonik-branded shipment app also built by Mesh. This solution allowed Evonik to harvest the environmental condition data of the shipment and its location at a fraction of the cost of cellular-based GPS trackers.

Now, with Mesh Systems' solution onboard, Evonik's portal displayed data on a per shipment basis. In the end, Evonik had a state-of-the-art data visualization center that Evonik's customers could log into to track their incoming shipments.
